On May 14th, the 2021 Shanfu Town Engineering Machinery Maintenance Center Inspection and Founding Conference was held in Runxin, Mr. Jin Xin, the Chairman of Shanfu Town People's Congress, Mr. Weng Mingfang, the Minister of Shanfu Town People's Armed Forces, Mr. Zhang Yong, the secretary of Runxin Company Party Branch, Mr. Song Changan, the Director of Runxin Company Administration Office attended the meeting. 30 members of Runxin Company Joint Defense Team (Shanfu Town Engineering Machinery Maintenance Row) participated.

The inspection conference officially began in the "People's Liberation Army of China". Mr. Weng Mingfang, announced the appointment notice of the cadres (backbone) of the Core Militia in Shanfu Town and the list of the backbone militia leaving (and entering) the team, and organized the roll call, then held the award ceremony. Mr. Zhang Yougen, the new militia representative of the Runxin Joint Defense Team, led all the militiamen to make a solemn oath and made a speech, expressing his joy in joining the militia and his determination to actively fulfill his militia obligations, work diligently, and make progress.

As an important part of our country’s armed forces, the backbone militia is a mass armed organization that is not divorced from production. It not only shoulders the important task of supporting local economic construction, but also shoulders the glorious mission of safeguarding national security and maintaining social stability.

Mr. Zhang Yong introduced the relevant situation of the Runxin Joint Defense Team. In 2014, Runxin Company established Joint Defense Team in order to strengthen the safety management of the enterprise and assist the public security to carry out the "four preventions" (explosion-proof, fire-proof, anti-theft, and safety accident prevention) work, to ensure the safety of employees, maintain the stability of production and life, and promote the development of the enterprise. The number of members has increased from 21 to 30 today. All members are under paramilitary management, equipped with batons, riot shields, riot helmets, stab-resistant suits and other equipment, and use weekly spare time for training in physical fitness, fighting, and first aid. When night falls, they are patrolmen on duty; when the security alarm is sounded, they are fire safety officers; when the typhoon warning is issued, they take on the responsibility of defending against typhoon... This is a well-organized, rapid response of the excellent team, effectively maintain the new company property, staff safety and production and life of harmony and stability.

Mr. Jin Xin fully affirmed the neat military appearance, strict discipline, and vigorous mental outlook of the Runxin militia, and hopes that the militia will continue to work hard to continuously improve the level of specialization, technology and standardization, and build the team into an important reserve force for normal, emergency even war situation, making new contributions to the stability and economic development of Shanfu Town.

The conference ended successfully in the "Song of the Chinese Militia". The militia is for the people in peacetime and soldiers in wartime. The backbone militiamen of the Runxin Joint Defense Team will be based on their duties, be brave to explore, set an example, and make extraordinary work performance in ordinary positions.
